Privacy Policy
AS Advisory is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.
We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers.
This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone, by email, via our website www.asadvisory.com.au, and from other publicly available sources, and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.
Sensitive information will be used by us only:
For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
With your consent; or where required or authorised by law.
Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.
How we learn how you found us
When you visit our website, we record where your visit came from – for example, a Google search, a link in an email, an online advertisement, or another website that referred you. We do this using standard web technologies: campaign tags on links (UTM parameters), advertising click identifiers, and your browser’s referrer information. This information is stored in your browser and, if you make an enquiry or book a call with us, it is saved alongside your enquiry.
We collect this so we know which of our marketing activities actually lead to enquiries, and so we can spend our time and money on the things that work. It is not used to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share it with data brokers.
The Systems we store your data in
We run our business on a small number of trusted software systems. Depending on how you interact with us, your information may be stored in:
- Pipedrive – our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where enquiries, contacts and client records are kept. Pipedrive stores our data onshore in Australia
- Make.com – automation that moves information between our systems
- MailerLite – email newsletters and marketing, where you have subscribed
- ClickSend – SMS messages, such as booking reminders
- WordPress – hosting of this website
- Microsoft 365 – email and documents
Some of these other providers store data on servers located overseas, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to use providers that maintain recognised security and privacy standards.
If you would like specific details about where your information is held, contact us and we will tell you.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and client records for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we reasonably need them for business and legal purposes, such as tax and accounting requirements. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe – every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
If you would like us to correct or delete your information, email us at email@asadvisory.com.au and we will action it, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.
